CNC Lathe Operator (2nd Shift)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
"Ability to read & understand blueprints, work orders for specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, tooling instructions on holding devices, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cuts and cutting tools.
"Set up and operate machines to meet production quality requirements.
"Perform inspection of work pieces as determined by quality plans, control charts and routings.
"Perform minor preventive maintenance on production equipment such as cleaning, lubricating and visual inspecting equipment to identify actual and /or potential problems.
"Maintain a clean work area.
"Assist with on-the-job training of new operators.
"Environmentally aware when adding and disposing of used fluids and other material to comply the environmental policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
"Minimum 4 years experience in a Precision Machine Shop
"Minimum 3 years experience Operating & setting-Up CNC lathe.
"Have the ability to spot jaws and establish and offsets and start/stop points.
"Have the knowledge to adjust feeds and speeds, in order to produce parts within tolerance.
"Ability to make finished parts from blueprints.
"Knowledge in G-code programming.
"Experience with machining castings and burn-outs.
"Ability to use & read various gages & measuring equipment (i.e. bore gages, venires, mics, etc.)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
"Experience with Mazatrol Programming
"Experience training other operators
"Experience with SPC
"Experience with Mazak Lathes.
"Experience with ISO
"Experience with Lean Manufacturing.
"Ability to lift 50lbs
